Prevalence of Nonmedical Methamphetamine Use in US

"In 2015, approximately 897,000 people aged 12 or older were current users of methamphetamine, which rounds to the estimate of 0.9 million people shown in Figure 1. This number represents 0.3 percent of the population aged 12 or older (Figure 12). About 13,000 adolescents aged 12 to 17 were current methamphetamine users in 2015. This number corresponds to about 0.1 percent of adolescents in 2015 being current methamphetamine users. There were about 128,000 young adults aged 18 to 25 in 2015 who used methamphetamine in the past month, which corresponds to about 0.4 percent of young adults (Figure 12). In 2015, an estimated 757,000 adults aged 26 or older used methamphetamine, which represents 0.4 percent of this age group."
