During his tenure as Chief Executive Officer of Narco Freedom, Alan Brand has spearheaded the development of one of the largest community based organizations in New York City. Narco Freedom, Inc. serves some of the vulnerable populations in the United States, providing a comprehensive continuum of care that supports the recovery of thousands of addicts annually. Under Mr. Brand's leadership, Narco Freedom, Inc. has adopted a professional business approach, identifying the needs of their consumers, and responding creatively by beginning with existing resources, cutting edge technology and knowledge base, and practical approaches to cost containment.Early on in his career, Mr. Brand committed himself to becoming an expert regarding the relationship between managed care and services to clients who abuse alcohol and/or other drugs. He has received awards from businesses, political leaders, government agencies, and other local, state, and national organizations for his contributions to the fields of substance abuse treatment, medical care delivery, and mental health services. Among his community services efforts, he serves as Chairman of the Bronx Borough President's Substance Abuse Advisory Council and on the Executive Committee of the COMPA.
