Biography

Paul M. Bischke is a professional writer, independent scholar, and Master of Social Work degree candidate at the University of St. Thomas. He is Co-Director of the Drug Policy Reform Group in St.Paul, Minnesota and an active member of ReconsiDer of Syracuse, NY. Both are state/local membership-based organizations advocating drug policy reform. Mr. Bischke has published numerous drug-related articles and opinion columns in popular-press newspapers, religious publications, and various organizational newsletters. In his research, Mr. Bischke has focused on the ethics of drug control from the perspective of Judaeo-Christian social justice and on the history of Judaeo-Christian attitudes toward mood-altering substances.
